Chris just completed a major 20' x 30' screened porch addition for us (pictured on his website under "Additions", "Baybrook Porch". We purchased the house in 2021 and knew on the day of purchase that the old screened porch needed to be torn down and a new porch added. The old porch had wooden supports that were bowing, and overall the porch was in bad shape. Chris tore the old porch to the ground, and we rebuilt it with masonary supports. A number of subcontractors were hired to do the footings, steel beam, electrical, etc. and throughout the entire process Chris watched over every detail as if it was his own. Now that the project is complete, he has stopped by to visit and continues to examine the final project to make sure no detail was missed. I had known Chris for several years before this project and knew his personality and attention to detail. When we decided to re-build the screened porch, Chris was the only one we called because I knew I could not find anyone else who was more conscientious. Now that we are finished, we sit on the porch and talk about how perfect it is and how much we love it. I highly recommend Chris and CPR Construction!

Chris just completed a master bath renovation at my Cary house in Lochmere Summer of 2023 that turned out really well. This is the 4th major project here, the 1st was 9 years ago for a full basement build out, then a master bathroom repair, then a full interior paint and guest bath renovation, and now finally this master bath re-do. He's dependable, goes the extra mile, communicates well, and has very friendly and trustworthy subcontractors for various trades like plumbing, electrical, tiling, and painting. He's even helped me pick up things in his truck at Home Depot that I've ordered for my projects like vanities, tubs, and so on. Really a great guy. Obviously repeat business speaks volumes. Several of my neighbors have used him too. Highly recommended.

I had been putting off a long overdue renovation, not knowing just what to expect. The work touched many areas as I redid my kitchen, master bath, hall bath, moved the laundry upstairs, and refinished the floors on the entire first floor. I was impressed when the subcontractors showed up with Chris to do the estimate. I realized that this gave them the scope of the work from day one, putting everyone on the same page. Chris was very hands-on, starting with demo day, and continuing throughout the four-month process. Communication was mainly by email and was very responsive. I was always kept informed of the schedule. On the days that I was stumbling on decisions, Chris was there to make suggestions and give me options. I am delighted with the results and am getting many compliments from family and friends.

CPR Construction recently completed a two-bathroom project for us, one of which was a complete remodel. Chris was friendly, informative, trustworthy, easy to work with, and flexible in rescheduling around our busy schedules. He made sure our house met the expectations of building inspectors and advised on any changes we contemplated. He listened to ideas that we had about future projects and was willing to schedule changes and additional requests as needed. I am absolutely thrilled with my master bathroom and bedroom renovation thanks to Chris. He turned the designs we created into a reality and I couldn't be happier as my bathroom looks better than I could have ever expected. I would say it is a masterpiece!!! From the minute I met Chis, when we were getting quotes for contractor selection, I could tell that Chris was going to be very detail oriented and hands on. My assessment was spot on because Chris was always at the house checking on the work that was being done if he did not do it himself. He definitely takes pride in his work and it shows. He was also always available if I had any questions or if clarifications were needed especially related to the timing of what to expect for the week and the completion of the project. Our renovation was extensive, exterior and interior renovations and remodeling. Chris Raneri (CPR Construction) was the perfect person for it. He started by listening to us and asking questions and then gave us time and cost estimates for different scenarios. Once we decided, he walked us through his plan for all the work, the timeline for what he'd do and what we'd need to do, and then coordinated and oversaw that all the work was done efficiently and with such attention to detail. He juggled different trades' scheduling to keep work going continuously, identified any additional issues or possibilities as he saw them, and explained the costs, benefits, and impact of addressing them. He kept us informed on the scheduling, any changes, and any questions he had and welcomed any questions or fixes/changes we wanted. Since he's got extensive construction and remodeling background, he's developed relationships with quality subcontractors and suppliers, which meant good quality work and product and reasonable prices for us. Even with such a good relationship and confidence in his subcontractor crews, he still monitored all the work and had any fixes done immediately if found. The work was done in the planned time and to budget. And the finished product is even better than we could've imagined! It is absolutely wonderful and we couldn't be happier. We would (and probably will) use Chris again!

This is the second time we have worked with CPR Construction. While our first project, creating a MIL suite by combining several rooms, was major, this one was minor: replacing worn-out carpeting with new vinyl plank flooring in an office and guest room, painting same, replacing ceiling fans, and rebuilding several closet interiors with wooden shelving. The work went smoothly, ten days start to finish including the weekend, and the refreshed rooms look like a million bucks (but didn't cost anywhere near that!). Chris cheerfully and competently took care of several other small jobs around the house while he was here. We appreciate working with Chris because of the quality of his work, his attention to detail, and his cost-consciouos and pragmatic approach. We also like the fact that Chris lives in Cary, as we do, makes time to stop by whenever the we need to talk, and keeps us informed of the day to day work schedule so that we are not surprised by delieveries or subcontractors ringing the doorbell unexpectedly. And his invoice matched his estimate! While our house will probably never be "done," it is much nicer to live in thanks in no small part to Chris's efforts.

CPR just finished up my second home renovation project they've done for me. In 2022 it was a bathroom remodel and extensive painting and popcorn ceiling removal project, after in 2015 doing a 900 square foot basement construction from bare floor and bare walls. I am impressed by Chris Raneri who leads the company, and the quality of the contractors he has doing various trades like electrical, plumbing, painting, etc. Chris is great about communicating what to expect, has a great attention to detail, and has very high standards of his own work and other's craftsmanship, too. He's been super helpful on logistics, and is a very friendly, trustworthy guy. Having now done 2 significant projects for me, and referring my neighbors to him (who also hired him), I would not hesitate to recommend CPR. My projects have turned out great.

Our Primary Bathroom renovation with Chris turned out to be a great experience - even during a pandemic! Chris was thorough, organized, patient and responsive. Prior to starting the project, he set realistic expectations based on supply chain availability and offered alternative ideas and suggestions to help off-set even more extensive delays. He listened to our ideas and our "must haves" before making any suggestions to ensure he had a good picture of what we were envisioning. When a change was necessary due to structural discoveries during demo, he gave clear information and was open to talking through multiple solutions instead of just telling us what we had to do. All of the sub contractors he brought in for the project were professional, polite and efficient. We found the experience to be a positive one and are pleased with the final outcome. We would definitely recommend Chris and we would use him again for another renovation or addition.

This is the second project I've done with Chris now and his attention to detail, quality of work and fantastic subs are nothing short of tens across the board. After our first reno with Chris (our entire main floor including powder bath, kitchen, removing walls, etc) we knew that if we took on another major project he would be our guy - we didn't even call other GCs for quotes because working with Chris is just too good. In this project, we renovated our master bath, along with some odds and ends across the house (including adding recessed lighting, board and batten, updating some electrical, doors, etc). I was VERY particular on what I was looking for and he was able to accommodate everything physically possible. We went from an 80s style bathroom to a beautiful retreat that we will be able to enjoy for the years to come. Key things to note - he is SUPER responsive, including nights and weekends (which is great for two working parents); his subs are completely trust worthy (in two projects I have not had one bad experience with a single sub); and the quality of work can't be beat. I can't recommend him enough. In fact, it's all I do as soon as a friend or family member even mentions a project, I always throw his name out :) Thanks Chris! Chris completed a master bath renovation for us. The finished product was/is beautiful. There ended up being a hidden issue. Chris immediately came to our home to address. People always express how happy they are with a project. We were and still are, but I think it is a sign of character and trust that Chris addressed a problem months after the project was completed. He clearly takes pride in his work, his word and making things right. I would highly recommend Chris to take on your next project.

Chris and CPR Construction did a master bathroom and utility room remodel for us. Despite various nationwide supply issues during the Covid pandemic Chris was able to coordinate the various aspects expertly and true to the budget. His attention to detail and insistence on perfection for both labor and materials was unparalleled. Though Covid produced various twists and turns his regular timely communication with us helped make the project stress free. On a scale of 1-10 Chris and CPR would rate a 10 and we are very pleased with the result.

Chris just finished building a mother-in-law suite within our home and we truly could not be happier with the result. The rooms are sparkling from top to bottom with new walls, closets, doors, paint, floors and light fixtures. The old bathtub has been replaced with a step-in shower with handy grab bars, the doorway has been widened to accomodate wheelchairs (which we hope to never need), and a transom window has been added for natural light. The kitchen and bathroom cabinets from Chris's recommended vendor are gorgeous and fit the spaces perfectly. Chris also rebuilt our deck with Trex materials to allow direct access from the suite via a new exterior door. We appreciated Chris's hands-on approach immensely; he does much of the work himself and came by the house every day when other trades were working. He did not cut corners, dealt efficiently and timely with unforeseen issues found behind drywall and in the stressed supply chains of 2021 and 2022, kept the work areas clean and tidy (except for the dust, which I believe is unavoidable), and kept us apprised of progress and problems as they occured. We will call Chris for all of our future building work without hesitation. In fact, I did just that as this project was wrapping up. Our tweny-year-old hot water tank rusted through during the coldest January I have experienced in North Carolina. While swapping out the old tank for another would have been straightforward, we had planned to switch to a tankless hot water heater in a year or two anyway to make room for an additional half bath. Chris has spent the best part of his week putting together a tankless system, a plumber, an electrician, and a new high-pressure natural gas line, and handled the carpentry himself in order to get us back on line in three hectic days.

We are pleased to recommend Chris Raneri of CPR Construction. We love Cary, we love Lochmere and we love our home. It was missing only one thing, a sunroom. A place where we could enjoy our day with lots of light while protected from the heat and humidity, you know what we mean😎🤓 We hired an Architect soon after moving in and began designing our addition. After a lot of discussion, we had a plan. We sought out three local contractors: a large, medium, and small company. Chris is our neighbor, but we had not met him yet. Our Architect was worried about having our neighbor as our contractor. What if something happened. The large company gave us a bid off the plans. The medium company came, asked lots of questions then came back with a very rough estimate and said they charge $700 to give an exact quote. Chris came, talked with us, came back with the major subcontractors many times. Chris gave us an exact quote. Based on his interest in the job, his dedicated group of sub-contractors, and price we overlooked his being a neighbor and selected him. Then Covid 19 came. We put our project on pause. Once we felt a little better about proper Covid procedures we finalized our contract with Chris and started the project. You will remember Covid related supply chain issues and lumber and material cost increases. We were impacted but we moved forward. The deposit was given in mid-February 2021, demolition mid-March, foundation mid-April with completion early September 2021. While things were progressing, it seemed so slow but was it I don’t know. But we do know we love our sunroom and deck. We do know that Chris was ever attentive to the project. He cared. We do know that the sub-contractors were excellent giving many very valuable suggestions. Looking over the bills yesterday the final cost was higher by about 25%. But we had Covid, supply chain and more significantly all the changes we asked for. Chris was ever mindful of the costs we were incurring and communicated well. In the end we love our new addition. So do we recommend Chris, yes absolutely. And if you are a neighbor don’t worry not only, will you be pleased or like us love the finished product but you will have a new friend.

We hired CPR Construction to finish our attic into an additional bedroom, office, and bathroom. Chris worked patiently with us and provided expert guidance on how to turn our attic into livable space. Laying out a small bathroom in a tight space under the roof was an early challenge, and he worked interactively with us to figure it out. Throughout the project, Chris did an excellent job with communication. He stayed in touch and kept all aspects of the work moving along. All of his subcontractors (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, floor) were professional and friendly. Our attic is now a wonderful living space and one of our favorite parts of the house.
