We are pleased to recommend Chris Raneri of CPR Construction. We love Cary, we love Lochmere and we love our home. It was missing only one thing, a sunroom. A place where we could enjoy our day with lots of light while protected from the heat and humidity, you know what we mean😎🤓 We hired an Architect soon after moving in and began designing our addition. After a lot of discussion, we had a plan. We sought out three local contractors: a large, medium, and small company. Chris is our neighbor, but we had not met him yet. Our Architect was worried about having our neighbor as our contractor. What if something happened. The large company gave us a bid off the plans. The medium company came, asked lots of questions then came back with a very rough estimate and said they charge $700 to give an exact quote. Chris came, talked with us, came back with the major subcontractors many times. Chris gave us an exact quote. Based on his interest in the job, his dedicated group of sub-contractors, and price we overlooked his being a neighbor and selected him. Then Covid 19 came. We put our project on pause. Once we felt a little better about proper Covid procedures we finalized our contract with Chris and started the project. You will remember Covid related supply chain issues and lumber and material cost increases. We were impacted but we moved forward. The deposit was given in mid-February 2021, demolition mid-March, foundation mid-April with completion early September 2021. While things were progressing, it seemed so slow but was it I don’t know. But we do know we love our sunroom and deck. We do know that Chris was ever attentive to the project. He cared. We do know that the sub-contractors were excellent giving many very valuable suggestions. Looking over the bills yesterday the final cost was higher by about 25%. But we had Covid, supply chain and more significantly all the changes we asked for. Chris was ever mindful of the costs we were incurring and communicated well. In the end we love our new addition. So do we recommend Chris, yes absolutely. And if you are a neighbor don’t worry not only, will you be pleased or like us love the finished product but you will have a new friend.

Chris made the remodel of our master bath an easy, seamless process. He was incredibly thorough in his work and communication, making the end result beautiful.. We are thrilled with the results and would highly recommend him!

Chris and his team did a complete renovation of my upstairs guest bath, and the experience was professional from start to finish. Chris’s knowledge and experience enable him to provide terrific feedback regarding material selection and installation. I appreciate how well-informed he kept me of the work schedule, and I am extremely pleased with the quality of the work. We hired CPR Construction to finish our attic into an additional bedroom, office, and bathroom. Chris worked patiently with us and provided expert guidance on how to turn our attic into livable space. Laying out a small bathroom in a tight space under the roof was an early challenge, and he worked interactively with us to figure it out. Throughout the project, Chris did an excellent job with communication. He stayed in touch and kept all aspects of the work moving along. All of his subcontractors (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, floor) were professional and friendly. Our attic is now a wonderful living space and one of our favorite parts of the house.

We recently had our basement finished by CPR construction we are very pleased with the outcome. Chris kept us updated on the work being performed on a regular basis and the the project was completed ahead of time. We are happy with the work that we will definitely be considering Chris for future projects.

I hired on Chris and team after he renovated my parents unfinished basement. From day one, he was thorough, consistent and extremely communicative. I had a very specific vision, and was pretty unwavering in what I wanted, (specifically full slab quartz backsplash and mounted open shelving). The final product turned out fantastic. He has a great list of vendors - although his cabinet guy and electricians are probably my favorites - and the work that was done was top notch. We did come in over budget - but that was largely due to my own additions and upgrades, all of his budgeting (excluding original electric which is nearly impossible to guesstimate) came in right on par. I highly recommend Chris if youandre looking to take on a major renovation. I would recommend working with one of the designers he has worked with in the past because his advice will usually lean on the side of function over design aesthetic. Chris Raneri of CPR Construction has finished our basement by adding 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, media room, kitchenette, utility areas, play areas etc. The basement is bright with wonderful lighting. He helped us design a fantastic space that our family will enjoy for years. He is a professional, and does A++ work, there is nothing that he misses! Both of us are quite impressed with his dedication, his attention to detail, and making sure everything is perfect and is exactly or better than what was agreed to at the beginning. He finishes on time as promised and as agreed to for pricing. We recommend Chris highly for anyone looking to do any kind of projects.

Chris recently completed a large remodel of our homeands first floor an unfinished lower level, essentially doubling our living area. On our first floor this included building cabinets in the living room, pantry, sun room, study and den plus a custom addition to the kitchen island. He also rebuilt our stairs to the lower level and then finished off the empty 2,400 sq. ft. space. The lower level now has an amazing home theater, full kitchen, guest bedroom with full bath, wine cellar, gym, art studio and family lounge. Throughout the project Chris provided detailed plans and budgets. He is precise and thorough in estimating costs, uses high quality materials and he employs skilled (nice!) subcontractors. You will always know what is scheduled for the week ahead. Should a question or problem come up youandll find Chris open and creative with solutions. Every penny was well spent. Remodeling is very stressful and Chris is skilled at easing the process with his openness and great communication. We've done whole house remodels before and want to say that this has been the Absolute Best Experience. Chris and his subs take personal pride in their work, resulting in a job well done. Chris agreed to meet with me to discuss the project WAY before we were ready to break ground (or even select a contractor). He offered sound advice for no charge! Then, when we decided to move forward months later, he provided the most detailed (and informed) estimate - having all his trades visit to get a "hands-on" scope of the project. As the construction progressed, Chris was always responsive to email or phone calls with questions/concerns. Most importantly, the final product is absolutely beautiful, and the only additional costs were "unforeseen" expenses (which he warned us about) or things we added on in the course of the project! Chris finished our basement which in the end consisted of a bedroom, a craft room, a full bathroom, another multipurpose room and the most important was a giant entertainment area. That room has a fantastic bar, a large area for watching TV and then open space that has a dart board and a shuffleboard set up. Itands the ultimate relaxation and entertaining area. All of the work and finishes were top of the line and weandve gotten nothing but fantastic feedback on the final outcome. Chris was easy to work with all along the project as our vision was turned to reality and was eager to insure we were satisfied at each step. I'd highly recommend him for anyone who is looking for high quality work by a conscientious contractor.

We have worked with CPR Construction for many years and have always been very satisfied with their work. Recently we renovated our pantry and laundry room with CPR Construction. Chris handled all the subcontractors - plumbing, electrical, tiling as well as working professionally with Kitchen and Bath cabinets installers. Chris helped us make multiple decisions, was always on time, kept us informed and handled two unexpected issues quickly and efficiently. After interviewing and receiving quotes from several contractors, we chose Chris of CPR to remodel all three bathrooms in our home in Lochmere. Although Chris was not the least expensive, we felt that his quote was the most comprehensive and Chris was able to clearly outline the process. The project was scheduled several months in advance and actually started a week ahead of schedule. During the time leading up to the start, Chris communicated with us regularly to update us and answer questions as we were making choices on hardware and material. Once the project started, Chris kept us informed on the progress. He always promptly answered questions and addressed any concerns. The bathrooms are now complete and look great. Everything was done on schedule which we are very thankful for considering we had no showers in the house until the remodeling was completed! Everything was done on time and on budget. The contract clearly outlined what was included. Chris went through the contract with us so we were aware of what choice we made would impact the cost. While remodeling can be disruptive, Chris did a great job to make it as painless as possible.

Never having gone thru a renovation we were not sure what to expect , but we are so pleased with our "new" second floor that we are soon moving forward with our first floor and kitchen remodel with Chris as well! Chris is an outstanding, hands-on GC and carpenter, managing his sub contractors well and quickly addressing and facilitating any items that need to be corrected. He is very responsive to address changes that come up (and we had many on our part). Chris always kept our project moving forward and kept us informed daily of what trades would be at our home. Our renovation included 2 complete bathroom remodels, various electrical, HVAC, and plumbing improvements, new site finished hardwood flooring on entire second floor, and renovating our staircase/balcony.
